Description
No Halloween would be complete without a pumpkin, carved with a scary face and lit up with a fiery glow from inside. These pumpkins are a traditional part of Halloween celebrations. The pumpkins are known as jack-o'-lantern or will-o'-the-wisp and the history of pumpkin carving goes back hundreds of years. These days the pumpkins are more a decorative welcome than anything else, but they were traditionally placed in windows and entrances of property to scare away evil spirits, thought to roam the world on Halloween.
