Description
What a fantastic autumn 2013 has had, at least where I live in Sweden. I've been collecting so many wonderful photographs for possible paintings. Everywhere I've looked, I've found colourful displays as good as I've ever seen, but an artist or photographer is always looking for that image that others miss. My eyes are always open and I never go anywhere without a camera. On this day, I was wandering home, having collected my daughter from school. We noticed that somebody had been marking out the footpath for some sort of work. Each marker had been spraypainted yellow and red. They had also marked out the ground next to the path, painting plants and leaves. They unintentionally made a beautiful display, with these birch leaves masquerading in maple colours.
