Description
Wild Heather growing on the edge of a forest in Borlnge, Sweden. I came across this beautiful patch of heather while picking blueberries in the forest. Highlighted by the morning sun, it looked fantastic in it's natural habitat. Although quite small, these delicate pink flowers make an impressive display. The heather is a big attraction for bees. Honey made by bees that forage in areas with lots of heather is sold separately because of it's special taste. Heather belongs to the Ericaceae family which also includes rhododendron, azalea and blueberries.
