Description
As soon as the winter finally gives up it's grip, there starts to pop up all the spring flowers. When they are gone, the grass begins to grow and with that, the dandelions. My garden is usually full of them. They make a fantastic display with their wonderful vibrant yellow flower heads. However, dandelions are the scourge of many gardeners, who hunt them down at every opportunity. I must admit that once they turn to seed, even I run after my children as they hold up the dandelions to their lips to blow the little parachute seeds into the wind and help distribute them all over the garden. While they are still in flower, I don't really mind them at all. I borrowed the title of my favourite Mamas and Papas song for this photograph. If you have never heard the song, I recommend listening to it. This dandelion was, at least for a while, safe in my garden.
