An abstract landscape based around the naked female body. Art can be full of inhibitions for all sorts of reasons. In my case, I paint certain subjects in a particular style and with watercolour. My audience expects to see a particular type of painting, but on this occasion none of these things mattered. I created this image with computer software and so the only thing I could waste was time. I didn't stop to think, letting the picture develop itself with an artistic freedom that I rarely experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the result and my only regret is that there is no original.

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs. This in turn, is influencing my ideas for paintings. Anybody visiting my website, will find a real mixture of styles and mediums and I believe, something for everybody.
