Artist's Description
I always like to have a good title for my images, something that adds a little interest to the image instead of a straight forward description. Sometimes, I will borrow a song or film title or just come up with something totally original. Whatever, I think the title should show a connection between the artist/photographer and their work. This photograph I could have called "The Forest At Dawn", "Dawn In The Forest" or something similar, but it doesn't tell the viewer anything about what I see in this image. When I look at this photograph, I see something in it that makes me think prehistoric or very long ago. The title became obvious, the name of the song that everybody knows, 'Morning Has Broken'. Firstly because it was early morning and secondly because of the next part of the song, 'like the first day'. I hope you can see it too. Enjoy!

About Martin Howard
I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings.
