Beautiful Irises looking spectacular against the background of a blue summer sky. These irises were loaded into the scoop of an excavator and were about to be disposed of when I spotted them and asked if I could have them. I took them home and planted them in my garden, where after a few years, they have gown into quite a sizeable clump. Each year, in the late spring, they make a more beautiful and colourful display. I have tried many times to get a decent photograph of these wonderful flowers, but without really capturing their beauty. This time I think I succeeded.

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings.
