A harvest of juicy plums, freshly picked from my garden. I don't know what type of plum these are, but I'm lucky enough to have several trees growing in my garden which most years produce plenty of plums for eating and for making jam. They are not my favourite plum which is 'Victoria', but they are very similar in appearance and taste. My Grandma had a victoria plum tree and I will never forget visiting her when the plums were ripe and being given one or two to eat, sometimes with a little sugar on them. I couldn't resist buying my own tree now that I have space in my own garden. I have yet to enjoy a single plum from that tree, but after many years it has at last produced two plums. I can't wait to try one and think back to those happy times with my Grandma.
I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs.
