In today's modern society, we all spend too much time on the computer, iPad or mobile phones. We have many open internet windows and it's much harder to find the time to open the door and go out in nature. This my photograph of a beautiful summer landscape, taken in Dalarna, Sweden, together with a text message. I've added an oil painting effect too this image to enable (and is only visible on) the very largest print sizes.

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs. This in turn, is influencing my ideas for paintings. Anybody visiting my website, will find a real mixture of styles and mediums and I believe, something for everybody.
