Sometimes, its fun to take an image and subject it to a bit of modern technology. This one started out as a pleasant photograph of a single strawberry. I like to try out different programs on my computer, most of which I do not know what they do. This image was one result of my experiments and the least like the original. I was very pleased and surprised to create this. I might try this method again on some other fruits. The strawberry I used for my initial photograph, had just been picked from my garden. These particular strawberries are called 'Polka'. I don't know if they are available everywhere or just in Scandinavia. I've been growing these for six or seven years now and they are a real favourite of mine. They are a middle early variety with large shiny dark red berries and an aromatic taste. Apparently, they can be deep frozen although none of my crop of strawberries has ever made it that far!

Small Sh...

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs.
