Description
One of my favourite flowers is the Lupin or Lupine as it's called in America. When I moved to Sweden, I was amazed by the beautiful natural displays of Lupins that grow wild here. In late May and early June, the roadsides are full of Lupins, mostly purple, but with some pink and white ones too. There's nothing like that in England. The meadow opposite my kitchen window also has a fine dispaly of Lupins and they are at their best just before the midsummer celebrations here in Sweden. People here love to pick huge bouquets of wildflowers at midsummer and I've even seen people park their cars in my road and walk over to pick Lupins in that little bit of meadow. A lovely view from my kitchen window one minute - gone the next! For that reason, I have planted lots in my garden, where I know I can always see them and they won't suddenly be picked and disappear! I have digitally adjusted this image so that it can be reproduced at large sizes. The largest sizes will have a slightly painted effect.

I love how the lupins, the grass and the tree branches are all reaching vertically; super colors
