Description
Everybody has heard the phrase 'apple of my eye', which is used to describe somebody or something much loved and cherished. Whatever it is used to describe, it is usually a nice comment to make. Well, I love the apples that grow on one of my trees called 'Red Riding Hood'. They have a beautiful deep red skin colouring and juicy pink flesh with stronger red colours around the core. I decided to slice one of the apples and take a photograph of these beautiful colours. I just took a few photos and then I went on to photograph some flowers. When I uploaded my images, either the camera or computer, decided to flip one of my apple images into a portrait position. It was a close up and I had forgotten even that I had taken it. As I went through my images on my computer, up popped this image. No kidding, it scared the life out of me! I nearly fell off my chair as this scary eye-like image with blood red highlights sat staring back at me. This was the eye of my apple and definitely not the apple of my eye!
