Description
There can't be many people that don't love butterflies. They are one of the most beautiful sights to be seen during the summer and there are so many varieties too. I really wanted to get some decent photographs of butterflies this year, but without a zoom lens on my camera, I was forced to run after any that I saw and then carefully stalk them so I could get close enough for a macro shot. It wasn't easy I can tell you. I missed the majority of them, needless to say, but I did manage to get this shot of a blue butterfly feeding on a spreading bellflower. The next problem was to correctly identify the butterfly. That wasn't easy either! I looked through a couple of websites and in the end I decided that it was a Mazarine Blue. These are extinct in England, but quite common in Dalarna, Sweden, where I live. I do hope I'm right, but if anybody knows different, please let me know and I will gladly update my description.
