This is the road downhill from Bergebo in Borlange, Sweden. It's a popular area of woodland with many pleasant walks which are used for skiing during the winter. The autumn colours were at their most vibrant and made a pleasing contrast with the evergreen pine trees. The stormy sky was dramatic, full of threatening grey clouds. A scenic and quite beautiful seasonal landscape, which would soon change. Although the autumn is wonderful season, it really is a downhill road from here.

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs.
