A lovely panorama of purple, pink and yellow lupins as arranged by mother nature. During the late Spring and early Summer, lupins are a very common sight in Sweden. Quite often one sees huge areas of one colour, usually purple, mixed with some pink and occasionally white. Sometimes there is a more even of colour, just like this beautiful grouping. Lupins or Lupines, as they are known in USA, are one of my favourite flowers and I happened to spot these as I cycled home from the local art shop. I couldn't resist stopping to get a photograph. Just as well because only a few weeks later there are still one or two flowers to be seen, but I will have to wait until next May or June to see a fine display like this again.

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings.
