Last Days is an impressionist watercolour of London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Fowler class 4F 0-6-0 locomotive 44414 as it poses for a photo shoot at Dunstable North Station. The Train had just arrived from Luton Bute Street Station with an unusually large number of passengers for the time. The reason being this was a special railtour known as the 'The Cobbler', organised by The South Bedfordshire Locomotive Club. The date was the 19th of September 1964. less than a year later this wonderful steam locomotive, manufactured at Derby works in 1927, had been withdrawn from service and scrapped. The station was closed to passenger services in 1965 and goods services in 1967, having being in use for over a hundred years.

I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs. This in turn, is influencing my ideas for paintings. Anybody visiting my website, will find a real mixture of styles and mediums and I believe, something for everybody. The reason that I paint or take...
