Description
I love seeing selective colourisation photographs. The first time I was aware of this effect was in the Oasis video for their song "Wonderwall". It was mostly black and white except for a stunning blue acoustic guitar. While creating my image "Red Riding Hood", I tried this variant of the technique, where the single colour is reduced to just a tone. I liked this image even better and it also gave me the opportunity to have a bit of fun with the title. Instead of Red Riding hood it became Little Red Riding Hood because of the small amount of red. I even impressed myself with that one! This apple tree is called "Rodluvan", pronounced rerdloovan. Rodluvan is Swedish for red hood which is their name for the Grimm brother's fairytale "Little Red Riding Hood". The tree is so named because it produces lovely deep red apples with pink flesh.
