Description
This is a photograph that I took about 20 years ago. I had just made some blackberry jelly and as I put the pan to one side, the sun shone through the window catching part of the pan, creating some really intense red colours. I was heavily influenced by some of Linda McCartney's photography, which introduced me to the idea that you can photograph anything that catches your eye, not just portraits and landscapes. In these days of cheap digital imagery, nobody would worry about what the subject matter was, but then it was a different matter and a roll of 24 exposures had to be made to count. They were saved for pictures of the children mostly. Nowadays, I can take as many photos as I want, but what I can't do is make as much blackberry jelly as I want. Blackberries do not grow wild here in Sweden like they do in England.
