One of the flowers that grows best in my garden in Sweden, apart from dandelions and buttercups, is the daffodil. Each year, their numbers increase without me doing anything. I get some wonderful displays towards the end of the spring. Last year, I just had to go out and take some photos, but that was easier said than done. My daffodils looked more impressive than ever in the warm sunshine, but it was a little breezy and trying to focus on the flowers or even getting them in the centre of the picture, was not easy. The Swedish name for daffodil, translates to Easter Lily. In my experience, I dont recall seeing daffodils at Easter. This photograph was taken in my garden on the 25th of May! However, this year spring is early and Easter is late. 5 weeks before Easter, my daffodils have just started to break through the soil. For once, my daffodils might just live up to their name!

The reason that I paint or take...
