I can remember my parents talking about someone who grew weeds in their garden. It was a long time ago and I don't remember exactly what was said, but they considered it a strange thing to do. Now, I have a big garden and it's not flat and it is very close to the forest and meadow land. A lot of seeds from wild flowers set themselves in my garden and I don't have time to remove them all, but why should I? They do not cost anything and most of them are incredibly beautiful if I only have time to look closely. These small blue flowers are something I've always taken for granted, but when the sun catches them, they are absolutely wonderful. The advent of digital cameras which can take macro photographs, has made it even easier to capture the beauty of wild flowers. I can't wait to see what else I can find in my garden. I wont ever call these weeds again!

I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings.
