Description
Each year I look forward to autumn and all the wonderful colours that the leaves turn to, even though it's for such a short time. Although I look forward to autumn, I'm not in any hurry. This photograph was taken on the 24th of August. In my book that's summer. The leaves on these plants had already started to change colour. Whether that was due to the dry summer we had or a few cold nights, where the temperature dropped to just 4 degrees above zero, I can't say. The maple had taken on a mainly red colour with some yellow and orange, while still retaining it's original green colour in it's veins. The blueberry leaves had developed a lovely deep pink edging. Very pretty and not a flower in sight! Summer still or not, autumn is loading it's paintbrush.
